CRASH!
APOLOGY!
Mr. Kaech's computer crashed. The hard drive died and vanished. The computer doctors have given up hope and handed us the hardware on a platter. The backup Ememo mailing list is from late February or so. If you asked to be removed from the emailing list and are now getting it again (or multiple times), I apologize. Please email kaech@verizon.net and ask to be removed again. If you asked to join the mailing list recently, you may not be on it (and you're not reading this!) If you know a player or parent who discovered scholastic chess recently and/or might like to get the Chess Ememo, do forward this Ememo to them. Thanks! Yes, if you haven't signed up for the Lynden Christian Chess Camp, do not delay, as it starts in less than a week. Randy Walther and Peter June have a full slate of chess and recreational fun in store for the three days of camp. HOT SUMMER CHESS GRAND PRIX
AT BELLINGHAM PUBLIC LIBRARY
RUNS FOR THREE THURSDAYS
Yes, the dates have been set for this year's Hot Summer Chess Grand Prix: July 30, August 6, and August 13. The format will be similar to years past. Check-in will be from 6:00 to 6:10pm at the Bellingham Public Library. All ages from 1st to 12th grades can play. Small prizes will be given to the winner of each section each evening, and the players who racks up the most points (wins) during all three tourneys will receive Hardware.
